Job Description
Agile Scrum Project Manager
Lead complex projects independently with minimal direction from the Program Manager. Projects must meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and report Scrum team statistics to stakeholders.
- Build on the analysis and recorded experience of similar projects to construct better quality estimates.
- Liaise with other managers within the business and manage expectations for the projects.
- Make consistent use of process checklists in all areas of project management to review and improve adherence to best practice.
- Advise resource managers on the development, training and appraisal issues for project staff.
- Guide Project Managers who require extending the range or depth of their competency.
- On projects which are not completely routine, will be fully capable of the creation or adaptation of a wide range of technical and/or management procedures while still adhering to the principles of good project management practice.
Qualifications
Skills and Knowledge:
- Demonstrate a totally business-focused approach, achievement of business objectives, and the identification of further business opportunities.
- Provide leadership in a wide variety of areas and situations.
- Negotiate firmly but sensitively with senior management, and external partners.
- Communicate fluently and convincingly, both in meetings and discussions as well as through major reports and presentations using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Display adaptability and flexibility to deal with the non-routine or unexpected situations.
- Practice sound relationship management with business and external partners, and be fully conversant with key techniques in project financial management.
- Excellent people skills to improve team environment.
Experience:
- Effectively managed projects as a Scrum Master for multiple teams.
- Excellent experience and understanding in Agile methodology
- Displayed competence in the coordination of complex projects.
- Managed multiple concurrent projects, and determined their associated priorities and resourcing.
- Successfully managed the risk and opportunity situations on projects of limited complexity.
