This is a varied and interesting role supporting NGS projects suitable for a recent graduate with full training provided, located at our Cambridge Genomics facility.

Applicants should have good interpersonal skills, meticulous record keeping and be conscientious in their approach to work in this busy customer facing facility.

The role will include performing methods to support the progression of genomics projects. The following gives an idea of what your duties will include:

• Working to an accredited quality management system

• DNA/RNA extraction techniques

• Sample QC (fluorometric and electrophoretic methods)

• NGS library preparation for Illumina or Oxford Nanopore platforms

• Library pooling and normalisation

• Operation of NGS instruments, particularly Illumina/ ONT platforms

• Automation of laboratory processes
