AIX – LPAR (VM)

1) Creation / Modification of LPAR’s

2) LPAR patching with/without NIM.

3) Create and manage NIM server

4) Work in LVM.

5) Managing / deploying multiple LPAR’s using NIM.

6) Perform necessary actions on OS during HW replacement.

7) Check error logs and take actions accordingly.

8) Backup/Restore LAPR using MKsysb.

AIX-HMC

1) Managing hardware servers using HMC.

2) Create/Modify and delete the profiles/LPAR’s in HMC.

3) Keep HMC up to date.

4) Update HW server using HMC.

AIX – Virtualization 

1) Micro-partitioning.

2) VIOS setup – single and dual.

3) Configuring and managing SEA.

4) Patching VIOS.

A) LINUX. - OS

1) Deploy VM using templates/ISOs.

2) Perform Admins tasks on LINUX VM’s across multiple distros (Oracle Linux, RedHat, CentOS)

3) Work in LVM and system performance analyzing tools.

4) Managing Physical Linux servers.

5) Perform periodic patching (Manually / Automated)

6) Work on Ansible to do repeated tasks.

7) Work on Foreman/Satellite server as central repository servers.

B) LINUX – Virtualization.

1) OVM configuration and management.

2) Manage OVM clusters and hosts in it.

3) Patch/upgrade OVM and OVM manager.

4) Manage VM’s on OVM and perform Live migration if required.

5) CPU pinning if required in case of Oracle License requirements.

Total Experience Expected: 08-10 years
