Job Description

 

 Solaris Administrator should have experience in designing, implementing and managing Solaris-based.

 operating Systems Ver 10 & 11.x and responsible for installing, Configuring, Maintaining & Supporting 

 SUN Cluster, networking, Virtualization platforms.

 

 Solaris - Versions 9,10,11

 Solaris OS installation and configurations

 Familiarity with server virtualization technologies (e.g., LDOMs, Solaris zones, Solaris Volume Manager)

 Global Zone- SUN Cluster

 VERITAS Volume Manager (VxVM)

 VERITAS Cluster Server (VCS), 

 Good Understanding of trouble shooting & Solaris Commands

 Managing User Accounts and Groups (Tasks)

 Booting and Shutting Down an Oracle Solaris System

 Managing on Installation & Migration experience on Solaris

 Working With Oracle Configuration Manager

 Managing system Services (Tasks)

 Using the Fault Manager (SMF)

 Managing Solaris System Information and OS Logs (Tasks)

 Managing Solaris System Processes (Tasks)

 Experience in ZFS. Backup and restore on Solaris.

 Monitoring System Performance (Tasks)

 Managing Software Packages (Tasks)

 Scheduling System Tasks (Tasks)

 Managing the System Console, Terminal Devices, and Power Services (Tasks)

 Managing System Crash Information (Tasks)

 Managing Core Files (Tasks)

 Troubleshooting System and Software Problems (Tasks)

 Troubleshooting Miscellaneous System and Software Problems (Tasks)

 Familiarity with various hardware architecture (Sparc HW, X86 Server)

 

Mandatory: -

 

Solaris Certification Must.

LINUX Admin.

 

•   Good Communication, Problem Solving and Root Cause analysis skills

•   Hands on experience with Linux (RedHat 7.x, 8.x or Suse 10 & 11)

•   Installation and configuration of OS (RedHat, Suse, Open-source Linux).

•   Unix security, Openssl, ssh, scp, ldap, iptables, tcp wrappers, syslog etc.

•   Logical Volume management, Storage management (NFS, GFS)

•   Installation and Configuration Nagios (Monitoring System), Squid (proxy Server), DNS, and Ldap. 

•   OS troubleshooting

 

Desired Skills:

 

•   Knowledge of Scrips Shell, Ansible, Perl / phyton.

•   Knowledge of any virtual platform AWS Cloud.

•   Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure.

•   Patching Management procedures.

•   Familiarity with various hardware architecture (Sparc HW, X86 Server).

Total Experience Expected: 08-10 years

Qualifications

B.E / B. Tech / MCA
