Required:-
--> Administration, management, and tuning of Cloudera  & Hadoop
--> Strong UNIX/Linux knowledge including the ability to understand the interaction between applications and the operating system and to provide recommendations and suggestions related to troubleshooting and performance improvement.
--> Experience administering a reasonably-sized Hadoop cluster (20+ nodes). Experience with the Cloudera distribution is preferred.
--> Collaborate with the infrastructure team to coordinate OS-level patching and to identify and solve hardware related issues
--> Cluster & Node Maintenance, Health Checks, Automation of Job Monitoring by creating alerts
--> Ability to create infrastructure capacity plans based on quantitative and qualitative data points.
--> Basic understanding of networking. No need for network administration or deep networking skills.
--> Team player with strong inter-personal skills. No room for grumpy prima donnas here.
--> Assist development team in identifying the root cause of slow performing jobs / queries (HDFS)
--> Work with 3rd party vendors to troubleshoot as necessary
--> Capacity Planning / Forecasting
--> Develop strategy to automate management and deployment processes (DevOps)
--> Deploying to all platform components
--> Planning and conducting platform upgrades
--> Work with development staff to ensure all components are ready for release / deployment
--> Limited configuration management including git merges, cutting release branches and general management of the codebase 
--> Some knowledge of general JVM tuning

--> Excellent verbal and written communication skills

=> Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
=> Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
=> At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology.
