Job Description
Summary:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for the sales success of the dealership by effectively managing the staff, planning and developing short and long term goals, and meeting the objectives set by upper management. while also assisting with handling finance and insurance operations for our customers, ensuring they receive optimal financial solutions and products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Make a monthly projection of the vehicle requirements by department for the immediate 90-day sales period.
- Determine monthly and yearly forecasts in terms of unit sales, gross profit objectives, and departmental profits.
- Forecast monthly with each salesperson to establish objectives in terms of the number and type of customers coming into the dealership, closing percentages in each category, time utilization, prospecting efforts, unit sales, and projected income.
- Recommend procedures for short-and long-range advertising, sales promotions, staffing needs, lease promotions, compensation plans, customer complaints, salespersons’ evaluations, and car rentals.
- Meet with each salesperson to conduct sales meetings to review results and today’s plan of action.
- Provide on the job training for salespeople, review monthly commission sheets, productivity reports, salespersons’ monthly forecast, and profit performance with the Dealer by salesperson and as a department.
- Maintain a balanced vehicle inventory and establish a program for moving inventory.
- Present and sell extended warranties, insurance products, and other value-added services to customers.
- Assist in structuring, negotiating, and closing deals with customers.
- Help develop strategies to maximize dealership profitability through efficient deal structures and financial products.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Sales Manager in an automotive dealership.
- 1+ years of F&I experience desking deals in an automotive dealership.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple transactions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
- All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.
Additional Information
Compensation (Salary plus Commission):
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): $150,000 to $165,000+ / year
- If meeting and exceeding sales department sales quotas and goals
*The Sales and Finance Manager Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include a base salary of five-thousand dollars a month. The position may also pay commission compensation which is based on the value or amount of closed sales achieved from $0.00 (if no sales are made) without any upper limit other than sales performance.
