Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and secure our databases to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability. The DBA will be responsible for database backup and recovery, performance tuning, security implementation, and supporting business-critical applications.

Experience: 6+ years

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain databases to ensure reliable and secure operations

  • Perform regular database backups and recovery procedures to prevent data loss

  • Monitor database performance and carry out tuning and optimization

  • Implement and maintain database security measures, including access control and data protection

  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity of databases

  • Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolution

  • Manage database upgrades, patches, and migrations

  • Collaborate with developers and system administrators to support application requirements

  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with company policies

  • Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices

Additional Information

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role

  • Strong knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or MongoDB

  • Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning

  • Hands-on experience in performance tuning and query optimization

  • Knowledge of database security, encryption, and access management

  • Familiarity with Linux/Windows server environments

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
