Job Description

As a NAND Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for product validation, product test flow development, product characterization, data analysis and failure analysis to assure the next generation 3D NAND products meet all quality and reliability requirements and specs.

Responsible for leading the validation, characterization, and production readiness of NAND memory products from early development through production ramp. Drives the development and execution of validation strategies to ensure product quality, reliability, manufacturability, and test coverage throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead product validation, characterization, and specification compliance activities for NAND memory products.
  • Define validation methodologies, test plans, coverage strategies, and qualification requirements.
  • Develop, automate, and debug complex validation and characterization test solutions using software and hardware platforms.
  • Design, develop, and maintain software tools for data collection, analysis, automation, and test execution using languages such as Python, C, and C++.
  • Analyze silicon behavior, performance, reliability, and parametric data to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with design, firmware, process integration, product engineering, reliability, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve product issues and improve yield.
  • Evaluate component specifications against manufacturing and test equipment capabilities to ensure robust production margins and optimal test efficiency.
  • Drive yield improvement initiatives through statistical analysis, failure analysis, characterization studies, and data-driven decision making.
  • Investigate customer returns and field issues, identify test coverage gaps, and lead test-hole closure activities.
  • Develop production screening methodologies, guard band strategies, and test optimizations that balance quality, cost, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on validation methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Leverage Agentic AI and advanced analytics tools to improve engineering productivity, automate workflows, accelerate root-cause analysis, and enhance validation coverage.
  • Independently manage priorities, drive projects to completion, and communicate technical results to cross-functional and executive stakeholders.
