Job Description

Solidigm is seeking an experienced HVM (High Volume Manufacturing) Product Quality & Reliability Engineer based in Taiwan to own the ongoing quality and reliability monitoring of Solidigm SSD products manufactured at our ODM partners (e.g., PTI, Pegatron). This role is a peer to our existing Taiwan HVM QRE product owners and will take product ownership for a defined set of SSD product lines through their full HVM lifecycle — from PRQ/SRA ramp through End-of-Life.

The successful candidate will serve as the on-the-ground reliability owner at the ODM, driving Ongoing Reliability Test (ORT) execution, OQM+ monitoring, failure analysis, and cross-functional escalation to protect Solidigm product quality and the customer experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Reliability Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of quality/reliability engineering experience in semiconductor, SSD, NAND, or electronic component manufacturing (HVM environment strongly preferred), and prior experience as a product QRE owner driving customer-facing quality escalations and FA reviews.
  • Solid understanding of SSD product architecture — NAND flash, controller/firmware behavior, PCIe/NVMe interface, and common failure modes (asserts, IO errors, NAND defects).
  • Working knowledge of reliability test methodology and standards — JEDEC JESD218/JESD219, ORT/ELFR, MTBF/AFR calculation, and Weibull-based failure-rate analysis.
  • Knowledge of databases, particularly mySQL and SQL, is essential.
  • Hands-on failure analysis experience and structured problem-solving.
  • Experience working directly with ODM/contract manufacturers, ideally on-site in Taiwan.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken) to interface with global Solidigm teams and local Taiwan ODM partners.

Qualifications

  • Direct experience with data-center / enterprise SSD products and hyperscale customer quality requirements.
  • Experience with HW failure analysis on PCBA, and eFA acknowledge for log retriving/reading.
  • Familiarity with ODM SMT manufacturing flow and test flow.
  • Statistical tools (JMP, Python) for reliability trend analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with tester setup, debugging, and preventive maintenance.
  • Strong vendor communication and coordination skills for tester support and issue resolution.
