Job Description
We are seeking a graduate-level intern to join our Talent Acquisition (TA) team as a Talent Acquisition Data Engineering & Analytics Intern. This role is designed for a highly motivated individual who wants hands-on experience building and analyzing TA metrics that influence business decisions at a global scale. The intern will learn how to extract, transform, and visualize data from multiple HR and business systems while contributing to the foundation of our global TA reporting function.
The Talent Acquisition Data Engineering & Analytics Intern will help build the foundation for Talent Acquisition reporting and analytics. This internship is designed for a technically strong graduate student interested in applying data engineering, analytics, and visualization techniques to real-world recruiting and workforce challenges.
During the internship, the intern will analyze recruiting workflows, explore recruiting datasets, and develop prototype dashboards that support recruiting operations and leadership decision-making.
The intern will work directly with Talent Acquisition leadership and will have the opportunity to influence how recruiting performance is measured and reported across the organization. In addition, the intern will collaborate with teams responsible for systems such as SmartRecruiters, Workday, Jira, and ServiceNow to understand how recruiting data is generated and how it can be structured for reporting and analytics.
This internship focuses on data exploration, metrics development, and dashboard prototyping, rather than operational recruiting activities.
What You Will Work On
During the internship, you will contribute to a project focused on building the foundation for Talent Acquisition analytics dashboards. Key project areas may include:
Recruiting Data Discovery
- Analyze the end-to-end recruiting workflow and identify where data is captured across systems
- Study the SmartRecruiters data structure and understand key recruiting entities
- Identify key data sources across the recruiting ecosystem including ATS, HRIS, and operational tools
Talent Acquisition Metrics Framework
- Help define key recruiting metrics and analytics used to measure hiring performance
- Document standardized definitions for recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, funnel conversion rates, and offer acceptance
- Develop a Talent Acquisition data dictionary
Data Modeling & Data Preparation
- Develop a conceptual data model that supports recruiting analytics
- Use SQL or Python to explore and analyze recruiting datasets
- Prepare structured datasets that can support dashboard reporting
Dashboard Development
- Develop prototype recruiting dashboards using Power BI
- Create visualizations that support recruiting operations and leadership reporting
- Translate business questions into measurable analytics metrics
Documentation & Analytics Framework
- Document the recruiting data ecosystem and data flows across systems
- Produce implementation-ready documentation including:
- data model diagrams
- dashboard specifications
- recommended data architecture approach
- Learn and practice data visualization and storytelling by preparing dashboards and reports for TA and HR leadership.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering, Computer Science
- Experience and proficiency with SQL, Python, R, or similar tools for data extraction and transformation
- Proficient building data visualizations with Power BI
- Familiarity with ETL/ETL pipelines
- Data modeling and dataset design
Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for HR and Talent Acquisition analytics, and how data informs business strategy.
- Familiarity with AI / Machine Learning techniques
- Experience working with APIs or data integrations
- Experience working with large datasets, APIs, or cloud-based data environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Interest in workforce analytics, business operations analytics, or HR technology
