Job Description

As a Senior Validation Engineer, you will provide technical leadership for validation initiatives and champion product quality for solid-state drives (SSDs) in data center environments. You will architect advanced validation strategies and assessment frameworks to ensure our products consistently meet stringent industry quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and lead end-to-end technical validation initiatives for solid-state drives (SSDs), including developing comprehensive validation strategies and test plans tailored to data center environments; design, review, and administer advanced technical assessments.
  • Analyze test data, troubleshoot failures, diagnose root causes, and provide actionable feedback to cross-functional teams.
  • Assess product feature requirements and proactively drive the development of targeted test coverage, ensuring validation scope addresses all functional, performance, and interoperability aspects aligned with industry standards and customer usage models.
  • Continuously optimize validation processes, tools, and automation to improve test coverage and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years experience in validation engineering, preferably within SSD, storage, or semiconductor industries.
  • Demonstrated expertise in validation methodologies, test management, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with relevant test equipment, scripting languages (Python preferred), and automated test frameworks.
  • Proven knowledge of storage protocols and specifications, including NVMe, NVMe-MI, and OCP standards.
  • In-depth understanding of data center usage models, customer workloads, and deployment environments is strongly preferred.

Additional Information

The compensation range for this role is $118,860 - $196,720. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

 

This is a Hybrid role reporting out of Rancho Cordova, California with an expectation of 3 days per week onsite/in-office.
