Job Description
Solidigm is seeking someone to accelerate our efforts to understand the data storage requirements of AI workloads and help communicate the company’s competitive advantage to the world. This role will report to the director of market development on the AI & Leadership Marketing Team. The ideal candidate has a combination of marketing and technical chops, with demonstrated experience or education in developing and deploying AI models, and doesn’t mind leading significant cross-team collaborative efforts to get results. Responsibilities
- Message definition. Determine Solidigm’s voice to the world on key AI-related topics, from performance to energy efficiency to emerging opportunities at the edge.
- Content authorship. Write blogs, prepare slides for executive keynotes, guide the production of video scripts – help express our story in numerous ways.
- AI market research. Increase the team’s understanding of ecosystem trends, key players, and new technologies that could inform our marketing strategy.
- AI workload characterization. Refine our view of what the storage subsystem does during AI training and inference. Work with the lab to develop meaningful test plans and review results.
- Project management. Coordinate work streams involving multiple inputters and reviewers, to ensure on-time and high-quality deliverables.

- Have a POV, but be humble. Be willing to assert a meaningful (even counter-consensus) perspective to sharpen the team’s approach or execution, but also be willing to learn and adapt to new information continuously.

- Assume responsibility. When the meeting goes quiet because a nebulous action item comes along, be willing to raise your hand and take ownership.
- Be comfortable in a dynamic environment. “Last week was a busy year in AI,” as they say. We are learning and refining our marketing approach every day – positivity and fortitude under changing circumstances is important.
- Prioritize and manage time well. There are a million good things to do here. Focus on the best and execute.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or greater in a relevant field (marketing or technical). In lieu of a degree, 4 years experience
- 2+ years of experience in a technical product marketing role. Working closely with marketing as an engineer is also OK.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.
- Ability to think both analytically and creatively – what does the data mean, and how do we tell a story about it?
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience developing or deploying AI models at any scale.
Additional Information
For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $91,500 - $144,050. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
