Job Description

This is almost more of a Project Management Assistant, Jr. PM, or Project Coordinator role, but the candidate must have a PMP(or in progress) as well as experience as a PMO PM.

The PMO provides essential support to project managers (PM) to assist them in the project planning, financial control, reporting and tracking of risks, issues and dependencies. 

Responsible for assisting the project and programmer managers in the following:

Planning:

  • Project plan structuring, scheduling and leveling
  • Resource allocation
  • Dependency tracking

Financial Management:

  • Assistance in business case development and tracking
  • Capex and fixed price tracking
  • Status, forecast and project accounting

Controlling:

  • QA Mgmt.
  • Risk and issue monitoring and management

Reporting & Communication:

  • Progress, status and forecast
  • Exceptions
  • Communication concept including tools (intranet, mails, internal meetings)

PM Coaching and Support

Qualifications

The top skills required include the PMP, experience in a project support role, MS Project (to build and create reports), SharePoint, and Excel Basics (with Pivot tables). 

Essential:

  • 2 years experience in project management / project management office
  • Project management qualification such as Prince2, PMI or similar
  • Thorough knowledge of the project lifecycle and PM tools such as MS Project
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good understanding of IT Infrastructure
  • Project financial management
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Excellent communication/presentation (oral and written) and report writing skills 
  • High degree of flexibility with a “can do” attitude
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Solution oriented
  • Good interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Able to manage conflict
  • Experience of dealing with senior management
  • Proactive, driven and energetic
