Project – the aim you’ll have

Our client, a leader in youth development and performing arts, is on a mission to enrich young lives globally. As they continue to inspire excellence, we are actively seeking PHP developers to join the team.

Your role as a developer will contribute to the technology-driven initiatives that amplify the impact of performing arts on youth development. Position – how you’ll contribute

• Improving the overall system architecture and design components to meet defined goals.
• Troubleshooting application and code issues.
• Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks in the software.
• Conducting an analysis of website and application requirements.
• Developing back-end and front-end solutions with an optimized database.
• Participating in design and code reviews.
• Updating and altering application features to enhance performance.
• Designing solutions that are modular, scalable, and portable.

Expectations – the experience you need

• A Computer Science degree.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in PHP development.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies, including CSS3, JavaScript, and HTML5.
• Understanding of object-oriented PHP programming.
• Good understanding of the MVC pattern and OOP.
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• MySQL experience or other relational database technology, with a proven ability to write efficient SQL queries.
• Experience building, optimizing, and utilizing REST APIs.
• Experience with code versioning (Git).
• Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
• Experience with Bootstrap 4 and working within a Front-End Framework.
• Ability to verify and test own code in a fast-paced environment.
• Good English, both written and spoken.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Additional skills – the edge you have

• Knowledge of PHP web frameworks, including Laravel and Symfony.
• Experience with CMS and/or Headless CMS (WordPress, Strapi).
• Proficiency in SCSS.
• Familiarity with modern JS frameworks like React/Angular.
• Previous experience in creating scalable applications.
• Experience in developing on Windows/Linux.
• Familiarity with web technologies and internet protocols (SOAP, WS-*, REST, XML, HTTP, TCP/IP).
• Proficiency in Unit testing (PHP Unit).
• Experience working in continuous integration and continuous delivery environments.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, specifically AWS or Azure.
