Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Director, FP&A & Controllership, the Senior Manager, Supply Finance & Analytics leads the financial performance, analytics, governance, and value creation activities associated with Sodexo Canada's Supply Chain and Procurement functions. The role is accountable for maximizing vendor funding performance, improving spend compliance, enhancing supply-related forecasting accuracy, and delivering actionable insights that support margin expansion and working capital improvement. The position serves as the primary finance partner to Procurement, Supply Chain, Commercial Finance, and BP&A leaders while maintaining strong governance over rebate receivables, supply accruals, and vendor-related controls. The role drives continuous improvement through data analytics, reporting automation, and process transformation initiatives that strengthen decision-making and financial performance.
Leads Supply Finance Operations:
- Leads the Supply Finance function, establishing robust processes and controls to manage supply accruals, vendor funding, rebate receivables, vendor data integration, and related financial reporting. Ensures timely and accurate recording of supply-related transactions while driving continuous improvement in data quality, process efficiency, and financial governance.
- Oversees financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting for all supply-related activities, including vendor programs, procurement initiatives, logistics costs, inbound product costing, supply chain accruals, and related COGS elements. Partners closely with Procurement, Commercial Finance, and BP&A teams to maximize Vendor Discount Agreement (VDA) performance, improve spend compliance, optimize vendor funding recovery, and identify opportunities to improve gross margin and working capital performance.
- Monitors supply-related financial performance against budget, forecast, and strategic targets, providing proactive analysis and recommendations to address emerging risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Partners with Procurement and Supply leadership to evaluate sourcing strategies, vendor economics, pricing structures, and cost-saving initiatives, ensuring financial impacts are clearly understood and realized.
- Leads monthly and quarterly business reviews for Supply Finance, providing performance insights, trend analysis, and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
- Supports annual operating plan and forecast cycles by developing supply-related assumptions, identifying key drivers, and ensuring alignment between operational plans and financial objectives.
Leads Supply Finance Analytics & Reporting:
- Leads the development and execution of the Supply Finance analytics strategy, delivering actionable insights that support business performance, margin improvement, and informed decision-making. Establishes key performance indicators, monitors trends and variances, and translates complex data into clear recommendations for Finance, Procurement, and Supply leadership teams.
- Owns the design, development, and continuous enhancement of Supply Finance reporting and dashboard capabilities, including Power BI solutions that provide a single source of truth for supply spend, vendor performance, accruals, rebates, compliance, and financial performance metrics.
- Develops and maintains executive-level reporting that provides visibility into vendor funding, spend compliance, rebate performance, procurement savings, working capital, and supply chain economics.
- Identifies financial trends, operational inefficiencies, and performance gaps through advanced analytics, providing recommendations that improve profitability and decision quality.
- Collaborates with Finance, Procurement, IT, and business stakeholders to improve data accessibility, reporting consistency, and analytical capabilities across the organization.
- Leverages automation, AI-enabled analytics, and visualization tools to streamline reporting processes, reduce manual effort, and improve insight generation.
- Establishes governance over Supply Finance reporting to ensure consistent definitions, methodologies, and performance measures across functions.
Leads Forecasting, Planning & Accrual Governance:
- Leads forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning processes for supply-related expenditures, vendor funding, and supply chain economics. Identifies risks and opportunities, evaluates business impacts, and provides recommendations that support financial targets and strategic objectives.
- Establishes and maintains standardized accrual methodologies, monthly review processes, and variance analysis protocols to improve financial accuracy and reduce volatility.
- Develops forecasting models and analytical tools that improve visibility into supply costs, rebate earnings, vendor funding performance, and future financial outcomes.
- Leads monthly financial reviews of accrual balances, identifying root causes of variances and implementing corrective actions to improve forecasting accuracy and financial predictability.
- Partners with Controllership to ensure supply-related accounting treatment, accrual practices, and financial reporting remain compliant with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Supports financial risk assessments related to procurement, vendor funding arrangements, and supply chain initiatives, ensuring appropriate controls and mitigation strategies are in place.
- Provides decision support and scenario analysis for strategic supply initiatives, supplier changes, sourcing strategies, and cost optimization opportunities.
Leads Vendor Funding AR & Data Governance:
- Owns the governance, collection, and recovery of vendor funding receivables, rebates, and other supplier-related recoveries. Leads aging reviews, dispute resolution activities, and cross-functional action plans to improve cash collection performance, reduce outstanding balances, and strengthen working capital outcomes.
- Establishes vendor data standards, controls, and performance management processes to ensure timely, accurate, and complete vendor reporting.
- Leads regular reviews of vendor receivable balances, identifying collection risks, aging concerns, and opportunities to accelerate cash recovery.
- Partners with Procurement, Legal, and vendor partners to resolve contractual disputes, rebate discrepancies, and funding recovery issues in a timely manner.
- Monitors vendor compliance with reporting, rebate, and contractual obligations, escalating issues as required and ensuring corrective action plans are implemented.
- Establishes processes and controls that improve the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of vendor-related financial data used in reporting and forecasting.
- Supports internal and external audit requirements related to vendor funding programs, rebate receivables, supply accruals, and associated controls.
Team Leadership & Business Partnership:
- Serves as the primary finance business partner to Supply Chain, Procurement, Commercial Finance, and BP&A leadership teams, providing financial insights, strategic guidance, and decision support that drive business performance and value creation.
- Leads and develops a high-performing Supply Finance team by fostering accountability, continuous improvement, analytical capability, and strong business partnership skills.
- Establishes clear objectives, performance expectations, and development plans for team members, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and business needs.
- Coaches and mentors team members in financial analysis, business partnering, forecasting, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Promotes a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and fact-based decision making across the Supply Finance function.
- Builds strong cross-functional relationships and influences stakeholders at all levels to drive alignment, resolve issues, and achieve business objectives.
- Contributes to broader Finance transformation initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, enhance reporting, and increase organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications
- Post secondary Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or a related field required.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning in analytics, business intelligence, AI-enabled finance, data management, and financial leadership.
- The following are considered assets: CPA designation, MBA, CFA, CBV, Supply Chain designation (SCMP), or equivalent advanced business qualification
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive finance experience, with significant experience in Supply Finance, Procurement Finance, FP&A, Commercial Finance, Business Analytics, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience managing vendor funding programs, rebate recovery processes, working capital initiatives, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Experience partnering with Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, and Commercial leaders to drive financial performance and business outcomes.
- Experience leading financial transformation, reporting automation, Power BI development, or analytics initiatives preferred.
- Experience working in a complex, multi-site, matrixed organization preferred.
- Experience managing a team or project leadership with cross-functional exposure.
- Professional accounting, supply chain, finance, analytics, or business certifications are considered an asset.
- Examples include CPA, SCMP, CFA, MBA, Power BI, Lean Six Sigma, and other relevant professional designations.
