Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in East Gwillimbury, Canada. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring smooth operations in our fast-paced food service environment.

  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment using manual and machine washing methods
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, work surfaces, and storage areas
  • Properly store clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Empty and clean garbage containers, transporting waste to designated areas
  • Assist in basic food prep tasks as needed
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an organized and efficient workspace
  • Report any damaged equipment or maintenance issues to the supervisor
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and support fellow staff members

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar dishwashing or kitchen support role
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to operate dishwashing equipment and kitchen tools safely and efficiently
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in food service
  • Customer-focused mindset and willingness to assist others as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
