Job Description
Sodexo are currently seeking a Regional Cleaning Business Lead to join the team in a permanent, full-time capacity working across our IFMS contract on site, 8 days on 6 days off.
The purpose of this role is to be a subject matter expert to provide continuous improvement and innovation for Accommodation Room Standards and site cleaning activity. Ensure all cleaning segments of the site service delivery are aligned with best practice and business processes while working collaboratively with Administration teams to support integrated service delivery outcomes. Act as an internal consultant to provide strategic and practical advice and training to improve contract performance. Lead structured onboarding, capability development and quality assurance governance to ensure consistent cleaning across the IFMS portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Sodexo receives positive feedback from all stakeholders by driving a customer centric approach to service and by committing to continuous improvement of our service output.
- Train Cleaning leaders across sites to ensure that they all demonstrate the IFMS collaboration model behaviours.
- Continuously searching for, and improving, ways of working to minimise cost and increase effectiveness.
- Meet agreed deadlines and ensure key stakeholders satisfied with the level of service. Ensure quality, health, safety, environmental and compliance targets are met or exceeded.
Job Scope
- Consistent application and control of cleaning activity to support the accommodation site portfolio.
- Enhanced resident experience through continuous service improvement and innovation.
- Reporting to the Operations Excellence Manager, with direct engagement to the Regional Manager of Operations and extended Village Leadership Team.
- Supporting an on-site rotational 8:6 roster, with Sodexo Support Centre visitation required at minimum of one day per swing or as directed by the Operations Excellence Manager.
- Onboard and train personnel with limited understanding of system, process and frontline duties, ensuring completion of structured onboarding frameworks.
- Ensure consistency in cleaning practices, adhering to Sodexo processes to effectively to embed and maintain standardisation across the portfolio.
- Continuously investigate and drive process improvement to reduce the administrative burden for customer facing administrators to enable service excellence.
- Drive ongoing review and development of streamlined work practices for the Site based teams and ensure they are standardised across portfolio.
- Providing expertise to assist in solving escalated operational issues.
- Support cleaning supervisors and teams appropriately to meet operational deadlines.
- Provide advice and recommendation for improving the supporting technology systems.
- As a leader, demonstrate overarching commitment to health and safety and become a role model for Sodexo’s Managerial behaviours, Diversity and Inclusion.
- Generate daily, weekly, monthly reports for regional cleaning targets and KPI’s. Deliver target training interventions based on audit findings and KPI trends.
- Ability to create and manage Performance Improvement Plans for segment performance. Conduct structured quality assurance audits across sites to ensure compliance with cleaning standards.
- Maintain regional forecasting cleaning/accommodation reporting e.g. Perodical cleaning or administration data.
- Work collaboratively with Accommodation teams to support efficient room turnaround and readiness.
- Support alignment between room allocation planning and cleaning delivery capability across sites
- Training, structured onboarding and adherence to Housekeeping Visual Standards, ensuring competency and capability uplift across sites.
Qualifications

To be successful, you’ll need:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role and/or as a site-based cleaning supervisor.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing remote site cleaning teams preferred.
- Experience in Accommodation, cleaning services in remote locations.
- Experience with CRM and Power BI an advantage.
- A C Class Australian Driver’s License.
- Demonstrate high level analytics and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyse and synthesis high volumes of data and present the information in meaningful and accurate reports.
- Expertise in identifying the key performance drivers of the business and developing benchmarks to assess and manage contract and service performance.
- Expertise in understanding key performance indicators of the contract, then implement solutions.
- Success or remediate under-performance.
- Excellent customer service focus.
- Strong communication skills.
- Advanced excel skills.
- Familiarity with Dashboards and SharePoint.
- Work autonomously in remote locations.
