Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Health & Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team in Nhulunbuy, Australia. As a key member of our organization, you will contribute to the overall wellbeing and quality of life of our village community by developing and implementing comprehensive health and wellness programs.  To be successful you will be based in Darwin or FIFO  from Cairns or Brisbane.  You will work on a 2:1 roster.   

About you:

As a health and lifestyle role model, you will lead and take ownership of all health-related activities at the village. With experience in delivering a variety of group fitness classes, you will also be capable of organizing and overseeing multiple health and recreation projects and programs. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills are essential for this customer service-oriented position.

Duties may include:

  • Design and coordinate engaging sporting and social events to promote community interaction and physical activity
  • Facilitate group exercise sessions, including walking groups, circuit classes, and stretching sessions
  • Develop and implement wellness and health promotion programs tailored to the needs of our diverse community
  • Create and manage physical rehabilitation programs for injured employees
  • Design and deliver injury prevention initiatives and programs
  • Provide individual health management and wellness counseling to community members
  • Organize and oversee multiple health and recreation projects simultaneously
  • Maintain and manage the village gym facilities and equipment
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a holistic approach to community wellbeing
  • Track and report on program participation and outcomes to measure success and identify areas for improvement
  • Stay updated on the latest health and fitness trends to continually enhance program offerings

To be successful:

  • Certificate 111& IV in Fitness (nationally recognized) Mandatory
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications Desired
  • Valid Manual Driver's License (Class C)
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing wellness programs
