Job Description

  • Bar and retail shop duties  - drive in drive out to Byerwen mine site 

  • Drivers Licence and your own car is a mandatory requirement for the role, no shared cars. 

  • Full time, permanent, guaranteed hours role 

  • 14 days on 7 days off 10 hours a day 

  • Meals and accommodation provided while on site 

  • Australian citizenship is a mandatory requirement

  • Referral programme and discounts at various retailers 

  • Uniform and time at induction paid 

  • This is a local hire role and it not FIFO, applicants must reside in the Bowen/Mackay region

What do Service Attendants do? 

Service attendants are customer service-minded specialists that help improve the quality of life for village residents living and working away from home: 

Mandatory Requirement: Possess a RSA.

Stock Management: Rotate and replenish stock to maintain inventory efficiency.

Kitchen Assistance: Provide support in the kitchen to ensure smooth operations.

Cleaning Responsibilities: Maintain cleanliness in common areas, including bathrooms.

Bar Experience: Demonstrate proficiency in bar-related tasks.

 

What does it take to work DIDO? 

The DIDO lifestyle can be very rewarding but it isn’t for everyone. Consider what to expect and what is required of you when assessing your options: 

  • Ability to work 10-12-hour shifts, day or night shifts as required 

  • Ability to endure remote environment in extreme heat or weather conditions 

  • Ability to multi-task and assist in other areas with positive teamwork approach 

  • Ability to understand the requirements of safe work and safety protocols 

  • Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing
