The Supply Chain Planning Manager is to develop and execute supply chain strategies and lead initiatives to surpass operational benchmarks. The role’s main focuses will be demand and supply planning, logistics, and customer service, ensuring the results are aligned with corporate objectives and drive operational excellence.
This role is to review, identify and implement opportunities for improvement in the supply and replenishment of products ordered from third-party suppliers and distributed to Sodexo’s regional and metropolitan operational sites on a case-by-case basis.
The Supply Chain Planning Manager will also lead a team of supply and demand planners focused on the rollout of an updated and improved company-wide Enterprise resource planning (ERP), ensuring that their work produces optimal new supply chain capabilities associated with the ERP.
Responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to:
- Lead supply and demand planning processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance accuracy in forecasting and responsiveness to client and customer needs.
- Understand, review and recommend enhancements to the current supply ordering system with the goal of optimizing end-to-end supply chain costs whilst preserving strong availability of products at site level.
- Lead demand planning processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance accuracy in forecasting and responsiveness to site-based dynamics.
- Own the relationship with key transport providers to ensure that transport planning is efficiently undertaken and occurs at the direction of this role to optimize logistics costs and supply chain efficiencies.
- Develop and implement a set of supply standards applicable to all stakeholders involved in the supply chain process to achieve optimal inbound delivery from suppliers, to transport providers, to Sodexo sites in a safe and efficient manner
- Collaborates with procurement department to determine best practice for freight in and freight consolidation.
- Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand
- Lead the stewardship of supply chain master data and supply chain applications
- Lead key supply chain strategic and tactical initiatives
- Measure supply chain performance on an ongoing basis to demonstrate its effectiveness
- Effectively lead team, ensuring that their work produces optimal new supply chain capabilities associated with the ERP

To be successful, you’ll need:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Demonstrable leadership and operations experience (7+ years) in supply chain roles with a focus on planning (supply and/or demand)
- Excellent communication skills–both written and verbal. The role needs to be able to articulate complex concepts in a way that anyone within the company can understand.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in a small local team as part of a global corporation. Flexing between strategy and operations seamlessly.
- Strong data analytical skills - gathering data, analysing data, understanding the meaning of data, and presenting data.
- Proficiency in utilizing cutting-edge supply chain management software and advanced analytics tools.
- Proven success in implementing process improvements and cost optimization strategies.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and Project Management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
