We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced STP/WTP Operator interested in joining our team at sites based in the Bowen Basin, QLD. 

You will be responsible for:

  • inspecting and maintaining the treatment plant systems on a daily basis to ensure effective operations
  • supporting the maintenance and operation of filtering and chemical treatment processes
  • inspecting, servicing and repairing components of the water treatment plant including water intakes, pipes, water storage vessels, chemical treatment equipment controls, circulation pumps, boilers, heat exchanges and valves
  • Ensuring that servicing and major repairs are arranged in a timely manner.
  • Regular upkeep of daily logs & reports to ensure records are well maintained
  • other duties as requested

About you

You will hold a Certificate III of Water and Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator Program and a minimum of 2 years experience in operating a plant; experience in water sampling and testing techniques, inspection procedures, water and sanitation systems management. You will need to hold an Open C class driving license (Manual) in addition to experience in a broad range of skills and general maintenance. Previous experience on working on remote sites, Work Safely at Heights / Enter and Work in Confined Spaces would be advantageous for this role
