Sodexo is currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Injury Management Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis.  Reporting to our General Manager, Workers Compensation, and Injury Management.  This role is Monday to Friday 38hrs per week.  Ideally this role will be based in Brisbane head office, however the Perth Support Centre can also be considered.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Claims and Injury Management
  • Professional experience preferably in a client service/allied health/legal or operations-based position
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Workers Compensation legislation in QLD
  • Understanding of Workers Compensation across Australia (multi-jurisdictional)
  • Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proven ability to demonstrate resilience in managing challenging scenarios
  • Developed time management skills with the ability to work autonomously in a high-pressure environment
  • Computer literate - Knowledge of SolvInjury (preferable)
  • Degree/Diploma in allied or health-related discipline (desirable but not essential)

This is a general scope of duties for the position of Injury Management Coordinator:

  • Effectively set expectations and educate internal stakeholders on legislative and internal injury and claims management obligations
  • Liaise with injured workers, insurers, legal and health professionals for purpose of claims and injury management
  • Working collaboratively with the Insurer case managers to achieve desired RTW outcomes and resolution of claims, ensuring responsible financial claims management of workers compensation portfolio
  • Plan, develop and implement pro-active injury management and rehabilitation strategies for injured workers
  • Ensure set timeframes and compliance measures are adhered to with all legislative codes, company and client driven policies and procedures
  • Coordinate clinical intervention and recommendations, attend case conferences to achieve desired RTW outcomes
  • Lead and participate in sessions with stakeholders through case conferencing, claims reviews and onsite visits 
  • Ensure timely claim reviews for planning, developing, and executing claim strategies
  • Accurately complete administrative tasks associated with injury management, fitness for work and workers compensation including file notes, RTW plans, lodgement of claims, maintenance of documentation on injury management system
  • Coordinate receipt of claims and ensure timely completion of claim forms for registration with insurance providers or claims agents
  • Develop and timely provision of timely claims reports, as required
  • Calculate, authorise and process weekly compensation payments and ensure timely reimbursements from insurer
  • Other duties as required.
