Service Attendant - Bus Driver

Support the quality of life for our clients on-site.     

If you’re ready for an exciting new challenge, we have opportunities for Bus Drivers to join our friendly site-based team, working a Fly-In-Fly-Out roster from either Townsville or Rockhampton to our remote mining camps location in the Bowen Basin. 

Who are we looking for?   

Our Bus Drivers are team players, have a can-do attitude, are flexible and always remain focused on safety and service delivery. To be successful, you’ll need:    

  • Australian Citizenship, or full Australian working rights  

  • Current MR Licence or HR Licence 

  • Current Queensland Driver Authority (general) or ability to obtain 

  • Able to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing and national police check    

We'd love to hear from you if you’ve had previous experience driving 25-33 seater buses following strict adherence to safe work driving practices and engaging with patrons.  If you have also used a 2-way radio in the past, that would be ideal, but it’s not essential.  You’ll enjoy a role with great variety in a dynamic working environment. 

Desirable: QLD Driver Authority, Standard 11, Coal Board Medical 

Your day will include safely transporting passengers following flight schedules, from the aerodrome to camp site and back.. In addition: 

  • Pre-start inspections and general cleaning of the vehicle 

  • Between transport runs, conduct utility duties as required such as housekeeping of the village rooms and en-suites, cleaning of the village office and surrounding areas, assisting with baggage handling of clients, colleagues and sub-contractors 

  • As a utility, you may be asked to cover shifts in the kitchen or dining room as requested by your supervisor 

Working on-site with our teams means you’ll be working 11 hours per day on a 2:1 roster (two weeks at work and one week at home) across a variety of shifts, including morning, evening and split shifts; often in extreme environments. So having a good level of fitness will help you get through each day!
