An exciting opportunity has become available to join the high performing Sodexo Property Management team as one of our Trust Accountants. Job Description

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Check lease documents and activate/vacate leases in the system
  • Process rent and tenant liability invoices
  • Process trust receipts, payments, and transfers
  • Follow up rent arrears
  • Process bond lodgements and disposals
  • Liaise with property managers, clients, and tenants.
  • Assist property managers with rent review calculations.
  • Periodically prepare and complete financial statements that comply with generally accepted accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and industry practices.
  • Audit preparation.
  • Ensure that customers and client receive consistent and friendly service. Deliver tasks on time and in accordance with the needs of the business and the direction of the Trust Accounts Lead.
  • Ensure that work produced of a high-quality standard
  • Work cooperative with the broader Sodexo team, including other service streams

You will have excellent verbal & written communication skills and a high level of accuracy & attention to detail.
 

Qualifications

Qualifications Required:
To be successful in this role you will ideally have at least 3 years’ experience working in Residential Property trust accounting or similar role.
You will have experience in trust accounting and able to manage your own work schedule, managing competing priorities and working under pressure. You pride yourself on attention to detail, ensuring documents are completed accurately, processes are followed, and accurate client, lease property and tenant records are kept. Advanced computing skills, with the ability to learn new property systems is important to hit the ground running.
