About the role

The year 2022 will bring about significant growth and exciting prospects within our Corporate Facilities Management segment, Sodexo are currently looking for a passionate and driven Cleaners interested in joining Sodexo and working on a client site within Ballarat, VIC.

Reporting into the Cleaning Services Team Lead, this roles main responsibility is High Cleaning: cleaning of ceilings, walls and overhead pipework within a food manufacturing environment.

This is a full-time role with hours being Monday to Friday, 7am to 3.06pm.

This is a general scope of duties for the position of High Cleaner which can include, but is not limited to, any of the duties listed below:

• This work involves working in hot/cold, loud, and dusty environments
• Work is physically demanding and does require a moderate level of fitness
• Electronic Work Platform (EWP) license and Working at Height (WaH) training is required for this role, successful candidate will need to be open to obtaining these if currently not a licence holder.
• Work does involve working from a ladder/EWP majority of the time up to 6 meters
• Willingness to learn how to use ride-on and push behind floor scrubbers
• Willingness to stick to strict GMP food safety standards and have a high level of personal hygiene
• Have good literacy and numeracy skills - as completing safety documents such Job Safety Analysis, MSDS and reading and understanding Standard Operating Procedures
• Role may include standard cleaning such as emptying of bins, vacuuming, and cleaning of amenities

About You

Successful candidates will have proven cleaning experience, ideally from a commercial or manufacturing background. You will have a keen eye for detail and will be safety aware/hazard conscious. 

You will hold either a EWP High Risk Work Licence (or willing to obtain one.) as well as being competent with all scrubbing machines - although training will be provided.

• Ability to protect the confidentiality of information contained in accessible areas and other areas contained in the cleaning roster
• Respect for property contained accessible areas and other areas contained in the cleaning roster

• Ability to suggest and implement preventative and improvement strategies
• Diligent with an excellent attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and organize a diverse workload
• Flexible and able to change and adapt priorities
• Self-motivated, self confident, honest, professional, ethical and flexible.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain a professional, trusting and positive working relationships with clients
