The role

The year 2021 has bought about significant growth and exciting prospects within our Corporate segment, Sodexo are inviting applications from experienced Chef Managers interested in joining Sodexo and working in Ballarat, VIC.

Running a small team and reporting into the Facilities Manager, you will be charged with overseeing the daily operations including Functions, Catering and Canteen Operations.

You will also be responsible for (but not limited to) food costing, menu design, managing staff rosters, overseeing effective stock control, cooking & food preparation and ensuring a high standard of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness is maintained.

This is a permanent, full-time position with hours being Monday to Friday, 0630 to 1430.

About You

You are a passionate people leader with previous experience leading a team, preferably within a Corporate environment. You hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and have previous experience with events and functions catering.

You demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of food costing, food cost variable (wastage, rotation etc.) HACCP and food safety. You are a personable chef with excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team, driving consistency and innovation to deliver required service outcomes.

Finally an RSA and Food Safety Supervisor's Certificate are also required for this position.
