We, the Sodexo team are seeking a suitably qualified Handy Person / Trade Assistant. Your main responsibilities will be to assist and support the facilities team with reactive and preventative maintenance tasks. Working a Monday to Friday roster with occasional on-call requirements, your point of hire will be Ballarat or surrounding localities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hands on in all aspects of trade and facilities support
  • Maintain minimum agreed parts, stock levels and store inventory in a safe, clean environment
  • Adhere to all regulatory, company and client driven safety policies and procedures
  • General maintenance and handy person duties

Education and Personal Attributes:

  • Relevant industry experience with a background in a Trade or Technical field
  • Must have a Drivers Licence
  • Ideally holds a Forklift ticket
  • A great attitude and willingness to learn
  • A commitment to safety and experience adhering to Take 5’s and JSA’s
  • Experience diagnosing, repairing and installation of commercial, domestic and industrial systems
  • Demonstrate experience in an unique working environment
  • Previous trade experience (highly desirable but not essential)
