Our business is growing, and we are seeking fully qualified chefs with a passion for food and exemplary service to join Sodexo. We have several opportunities within our Multi-Site Team, no remote site experience is necessary!  

About the Role

We have casual and full time 2 weeks on, 1 week off chef opportunities, which would require the successful applicant to Fly-in, Fly-out from Hobart or Launceston and surrounding towns to our sites across the eastern seaboard.

As a Multi-Site Chef, you will be providing service for bulk and or buffet style cooking across breakfast, dinner, pastries, and crib. Occasionally you will also cater for themed nights, cultural functions, and ad-hoc site events.  All chefs on our sites must work in accordance with HACCP guidelines and follow strict food safety compliance and reporting. In addition, you may be asked to work a variety of shifts (AM/PM) each swing depending on site requirements and need.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Trade Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
• Previous experience in bulk (volume) cooking with buffet service preferable in mining camp, resorts, casinos, cruise ships or similar venues
• Flexibility to work a variety of rosters and shifts (AM/PM)
• A strong understanding of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness
• Present a clean and professional presentation in your attire, workspace and food deliver
• Able to work in well under pressure and keep a high attention to detail
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal with effective communication 
• unrestricted driver licenses, would be highly regarded 

As this position require you to work 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster, you will be comfortable working and living in remote environments and excited for the fantastic benefits that come with site-based living.
