Job Description
The purpose of the Environmental Engineer is to support the IFMS contract with managing all matters related to Indoor Air Quality and the Asbestos Register.
- Enforcing regulations that can adversely affect air quality,
- Prepare, review, and update environmental investigation reports,
- Provide technical support for environmental remediation projects,
- Provide technical support in review and recommend improvements to existing environmental programs,
- Oversee Waste Management and Pollution Control activities,
- Manage and control Asbestos Register,
- Design projects that lead to environmental protections, such as air pollution control systems
- Focused on deploying, adapting, and implementing Building Maintenance Project and Contract Management and Operational services for Rio Tinto Contracts with a focus on Indoor air quality Ensure Defect Correction is undertaken within response times,
- Effectively manage approved works by meeting contract terms, client expectations all whilst ensuring the highest standard of services delivery,
- Ensure completion of site and contractor works are achieved in accordance with the planned schedule for the portfolio,
- Analysis of work service requests ensuring it is correct and correct risk rating is applied prior to processing,
- Report on all actions to remedy contractor performance shortfalls to meet the operational service delivery,
- Liaising with vendors for quotes and ensuring Purchase Requisitions are submitted,
- Effectively communicate the maintenance plan strategy to all relevant personnel including service technicians and Subcontractors,
- Ensure commitment to constant improvement and safe working practices within the Facilities Management and wider Sodexo teams,
- Responsibility for Statutory, OH&S and Environmental compliance and have a duty to carry out work in a manner consistent with Sodexo Policies and in accordance with relevant legislation,
- Commitment to the delivery of innovative solutions to Sodexo Remote Sites, thereby continuing to improve the quality of Sodexo’s service delivery, and
- Responsible for adhering to the health, safety, environmental and quality standards, policies, and procedures and for proactively acting in a manner that supports a healthy and safe work environment, including the reporting of all incidents and hazards.
