Sodexo currently has an opportunity for a Trainee Village Manager to join our remote mine site operations working FIFO from Adelaide on a 2:1 roster, 11 hours per day. This is your chance to join an organisation at the forefront of innovative integrated solutions in the hospitality space. As the Trainee Village Manager you will play a vital role whilst being mentored with ongoing training and development in the successful engagement of village operations. Reporting directly to the site's Village Manager you will have strong safety values, high levels of energy and enthusiasm whilst being proactive with a strong customer focus.

Having the confidence to be flexible and adaptable, and the ability to jump between conflicting priorities and deadlines is essential for success in this role. You will be a hands on support to your site staff, lead by example and guide the team with your motivation, enthusiasm and professionalism. 

About you

Previous hospitality and retail/ bar experience including running & promoting events is desirable. You will have the capacity to learn multiple systems, and be happy to assist on the ground in all departments not limited to running the bar, completing stocktake, and learning our administration and aerodrome operations. You may also be required to assist in housekeeping, kitchen & the dining room areas to support your team as required. Previous remote / mining experience is highly advantageous however not essential. 

Please note a current full QLD Manual Driver’s licence is mandatory in order to operate our site vehicles. Responsible Person license is also highly advantageous as well as forklift experience and license.
