Job Description

This position is to assist in the delivery of a safe and compliant working environment at our Balcatta Support Centre. Our focus is to enhance our people's time in the office by having a comfortable and inviting environment.

About The Job:

Reporting to the General Manager of Facilities and Projects this role will see you manage building compliance, soft services and a small office support team.

Acting as the first point of contact for all office related FM enquiries, including appropriate logging, escalation and communication of planned & reactive maintenance for office equipment (furniture, printer, kitchen items) and office facilities ( air conditioning, cleaning general repairs). You will liaise with contractors/ landlord for all FM related matters, and manage escalations and service provisions. You may work on projects such as office seating plans, Covid initiatives and office functions.

This position will manage approximately at team of 6 which include a stores person, reception and utility staff. You will oversee and be accountable for these functions making sure these areas are running efficiently and safely at all times. You will coordinate the approval of all office outgoings, including but not limited to leases, utilities and consumables.  Management of security for the building including access permits and from time to time on call after hours security issues that may arise.

About You:

As you will be the number one “go to” for our support centre strong communication and engagement skills are extremely important. Building a rapport with your key stake holders and understanding the office culture and requirements will be key success to this function.

Essential is previous Facility or Office Management experience with experience managing small teams. The ability to coordinate teams with delegations, performance management and driving a safe and engaged environment as a leader are really important.  This role will see you monitor office related expenses and look for cost saving initiative therefore you must have exposure to Office related budget/finances.
