Job Description

Sodexo are seeking a Transport Planner & Scheduler to join us on a 6 month contract to support our Transport Management Services portfolio located in our Balcatta Support Centre.

About the job

Reporting to the Transport Operations Manager, you will manage Transport activities to support the RTIO roster de-escalation, ensure planning and scheduling of work schedules are delivered and completed to standard and ensure timely delivery of Key Performance Indicators.

As the Transport Planner & Scheduler your duties will also include:

  • Monitoring and control the roaming fleet and develop the roaming fleet work management processes.
  • Develop plans that adhere to work management processes and integrate multiple data sources and criteria
  • Assess the quality of planning outputs and act to address gaps
  • Review and challenge resources estimates looking for opportunities to optimise plans
  • Monitor the need for outsourcing Transport work and ensuring capability of external service providers meets business requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive work plans, prioritizes work (based on risk  and asset availability), and delivers plans to the operational teams..

Operational delivery will be your primary focus, whilst ensuring consistency and client relationships are developed and maintained.  As part of your role, you will identify improvement opportunities stemming from work management monitoring and ensure you align the teams’ priorities to business and client requirements.

Please note travel to the Pilbara will also be required as business needs arise.

About you

  • You have a sound understanding of Transport Scheduling, master data management and continuous improvement actions and delivery
  • Experienced Transport Planner or, qualifications in a similar field demonstrated through at least 5 years’ experience and training to an equivalent level.
