Job Description

A rare opportunity has become available to join the Sodexo Property Management team as our Commercial Property Manager. This unique role is full time, based in our Perth support centre in Balcatta, with intermittent travel to the Pilbara.  

About the role:

Working as part of the professional and collaborative property management team, you will be responsible for the delivery of quality portfolio, asset and property management services to a single client for a portfolio based in the Pilbara.

The portfolio is a mix of commercial, industrial, some retail and strata property. The single client is one of Australia’s largest Mining and Resources businesses. As the Commercial Property Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the contracted services to the client, optimising portfolio performance and ensuring fantastic service to customers.

The role comprises all typical duties and responsibilities you would expect from a Commercial Property Management role including:

  • Coordination of reactive and preventative repairs and maintenance
  • Compliance
  • Account and database management
  • Fixed rent reviews
  • Leasing and lease renewals
  • Property condition reports and routine inspections
  • Coordination of minor works and project works
  • Client reporting

The Sodexo integrated facility management contract means you will work with internal stakeholders in the provision of services for building maintenance, grounds maintenance, cleaning, and project management. Sodexo also has an in-house service centre which supports this role in providing 24-hour logging of customer queries and service requests.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have 3 or more years’ experience in Commercial Property Management. It is essential that you hold a qualification as a Real Estate and Business Sales Representative (DMIRS). Working knowledge of the Commercial Tenancy (Retail Shops) Agreements Act and Strata Titles Act will be highly regarded.

You are structured in your approach, can make decisions confidently and problem solve as issues arise. You pride yourself on professional client service and exceptional customer service.

The position will suit an organised, self-motivated individual who has excellent time management skills and who enjoys working in a busy and fast paced role. This role will see you working closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders, therefore, your ability to communicate effectively and build and develop strong working relationships is critical.
