About the role

We currently have an exciting vacancy for an enthusiastic and experienced Chef/Manager to lead the team on our catering contract in Wagga Wagga. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high quality catering services  and have similar experience catering for 200+ staff.  Drawing on your prior experience with large scale food services you will also be able to manage a small team of 3 while still be happy working in a hands on capacity each day.

The role is Monday - Friday working day shifts with weekends off!

About you

This key role of Chef / Manager will see you take charge of the kitchen, bring a strong business & financial acumen to the operation and foster, promote and grow relations with the Client, customers and kitchen team.  It is imperative you can demonstrate experience with food costing, food cost variables (wastage, rotation), HACCP and food safety.

You will manage, communicate and enforce the food safety plan for the entire site, be accountable for the food costs for the site and reporting on as requested, drive training and development of the kitchen team and develop and implement menus, event menus, recipes and all associated costing's.

You will be appropriately qualified (Cert III Commercial Cookery), have proven leadership experience combined with experience in a similar role.

You will strive for perfection, be professional and focussed on managing and exceeding the food services expectations.  Furthermore you will foster a positive relationship with the client and create a safe and harmonious workplace for all employees.
