Job Description

The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to join the Commercial & Contracts team within Sodexo’s Energy & Resources division. Located at the Head Office in Balcatta, Perth you will play an integral role in delivering Sodexo’s largest contract for Infrastructure and Facilities Management Services to its client, Rio Tinto.

About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager - Commercial and Contracts and working closely with Operations the successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • drafting high quality formal correspondence to subcontractors, suppliers and the Client;
  • preparation, evaluation and submission of Head Contract Variation Claims to Client;
  • coordinating the contract administration staff to ensure contract administration duties are fulfilled on time and to the highest standard;
  • providing oversight, governance and guidance to stream / operations contract administration staff:
  • during the review and assessment of monthly subcontractor progress claims; and
  • to ensure the timely and accurate production of subcontract forecasts.
  • coordinating the administration / document control staff to ensure the establishing and maintaining all contractual registers including claims, variation and correspondence registers;
  • progressing minor disputes (Head Contract and Subcontract) in a manner that reaches a mutually beneficial outcome for all stakeholders;
  • the preparation of monthly and annual reporting;
  • providing oversight, governance and guidance to stream / operations contract administration staff, Sodexo Legal and Sodexo’s National Supply Chain division in the:
    • preparation of RFT tender documentation; and
    • the technical evaluation of tenders.

 About you
To be successful in this role you will be tertiary qualified in Law, Commerce or have a qualification / background in Quantity Surveying and able to demonstrate:

  • a high focus on safety.
  • a ‘hands on’ style and ability to excel in a fast paced and reactive environment.
  • excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • that you are a motivated, passionate and team orientated individual who consistently strives for excellence.
  • proven experience in contract negotiation and administration with a sound understanding of general forms of contract including Australian standards.
  • experience of at least 5 years within the resources sector.
