Accounts Receivable Officer

We are currently looking for an Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team based in our Balcatta WA Office.

About the job

The Accounts Receivable Officer will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciliation of daily transactions, payments and adjustments as well as timely debt collection. 

The ideal candidate for this position must have experience in Accounts Receivable, be able to process invoices and manage a high volume of emails with internal and external queries while maintaining focus and accuracy.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the accurate processing of invoices and credit notes are completed on a timely basis.
  • Submission to clients, follow-ups and escalations will be required from you to ensure minimum to none outstanding invoices are kept in our books.
  • Maintain the Excel tracker, answering calls & high volume of emails and optimising the use of our CRM (Onguard) .
  • Customer reconciliation on a weekly basis or as often as necessary to ensure short/over payments are addressed as soon as possible.
  •  Organised filing and record keeping in a paperless manner which is a shared responsibility amongst the team.
  • Lastly, from time-to-time, your manager or senior managers will seek your assistance on adhoc tasks that are necessary to meet targets, to improve processes or resolve pressing matters.

About you

To be successful in this role, you ideally will have a Certificate IV in Accounting or higher, solid knowledge and competence in AR processes and clear understanding of related accounting concepts. Have experience working in a high paced and demanding accounts department, we will still expect an exceptional high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, strong time management skills and prioritisation to ensure timelines are delivered. We will encourage your ability to be an analytical thinker to constantly challenge status quo to improve processes while fostering teamwork and positive environment. We’re looking for someone who is a proactive, confident, self-motivated who is able to communicate well and be professional in their approach. Experience with Microsoft dynamics AX/ F&O would be highly advantageous as well.
