Sodexo are seeking experienced Kitchen hands to join our team on our clients mine sites based have vacancies throughout the Goldfields and Pilbara Region of WA. Positions will be commencing prior to Christmas and throughout the new year.

About the Roles:

Working in the Pilbara is a fantastic experience and these roles are the 'backbone' of our remote sites. They contribute extensively to the effective day to day operations and provide a service for customers ensuring that each experience is as close to a home away from home feeling.

Your job will include but is not limited to food preparation, general cleaning of the kitchen and dining room areas, cleaning of dishes and pot washing plus replenishment of stock. Kitchen Hand / Service Attendants are there to help our clients and work effectively within your team. They are responsible for making sure areas are clean and tidy and are often the representative of the company that will have the most interaction with the customer, therefore, you need to look neat, clean and presentable at all times.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will be experienced, ideally within a mining or remote environment. You have bags of stamina and are fit and healthy, as you will spend the majority of your time on your feet. Your ability to work effectively in a team is very important. This is a hands on role and having a positive can-do attitude is what we are looking for.

This position will suit a self-motivated individual who has a flexible mindset and one who has the willingness to assist in all areas of the kitchen and be happy to work in other departments when required. Ideally you will come with experience working in a busy food service or kitchen environment supporting chefs with food preparation tasks. You will provide expert service and communicate in a friendly manner, providing service with a smile. You are someone who is passionate about following strict hygiene practices and adhering to high safety standards and you possess a strong knowledge of manual handling techniques.
