About the job
Sodexo is currently seeking a suitably qualified and motivated Dual Lifeguard and Health & Lifestyle Coordinator. This position will be on a full-time basis working 14:7 roster. We are looking for the successful individual to relocate to Weipa or a local living in Weipa, Far North Queensland. You will be working in the capacity of a dual role, 1 week working as a Lifeguard for Weipa public swimming pool providing services such as accident prevention, administration, public relations, education and rescue. The second week of your roster you will be our HLC at the Weipa Gym facilitating group stretching sessions, motivating employees, as well as individual health management and wellness counselling. You will develop and coordinate sporting and social events, group exercise sessions (i.e. walking groups and circuit classes), wellness and health promotion programs, and physical rehabilitation programs for injured employees. You will also be responsible for the design and delivery of injury prevention programs and initiatives.

About you
You will hold a Royal Life Saving Bronze Medallion, Certificate IV in Fitness (nationally recognised), National Accreditation as a qualified fitness instructor (e.g. Fitness Australia), CPR and Apply First Aid certification, and a current Manual Driver’s Licence (Class C). As a health and lifestyle role model, you will be in charge of leading and taking responsibility for all health and lifestyle issues at the village. With experience in delivering a variety of group fitness classes, you will also be able to organise and oversee the running of multiple health/recreation projects and programs. In this customer service focused role, leadership, interpersonal and motivational skills are essential.
