About the job

We are currently looking to employ a Human Resources Consultant to provide support, guidance and advice to our managers and employees. Reporting to the Shared Services Manager you will use your astute judgement to support, coach and guide managers through people related issues such as performance management, conduct issues and behavioural issues. Your key responsibilities will be to provide technical guidance, advice, recommendations and support on a full range of people management requirements in addition to supporting managers with investigating situations from end to end; including making recommendations on performance management, corrective action and improvements.

You will coach and build manager capability in people management and keep up-to-date with current legislation and policies ensuring these practices are executed throughout the business while maintaining credible relationships with line managers.

We operate across multiple industries and states with a varied range of Awards and Enterprise Agreements in place which provides for an environment of continual learning and growth.

About you

To be successful in this role you will be degree-qualified (preferred), have proven experience managing employee relations, performance counselling, mediation and grievance procedures and your strong knowledge of award interpretation, legislation and employment law will be essential.

You will also have proven experience working with Australian employment legislation and have the ability to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders to ensure business risk is minimised.
