 About the job

A qualified Chef you will manage the operational performance of our on-site village catering service delivery in key team leadership role managing a large team of chefs and catering assistants.  You will be working on a 2 week on/1week off roster flying from Adelaide or Port Augusta.  The role encompasses food costing, menu design, managing staff rosters, overseeing effective stock control, and cooking and food preparation all the while ensuing a high standard of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness. 

About you

You will have had prior experience with large scale and high volume food service as well as managing large catering teams yet continue to work in a hands on capacity.  Demonstrated understanding of food costing, food cost variable (wastage, rotation etc).  HACCP and food safety is essential.  You will be personable with excellent communications skills and well developed leadership and motivational skills, ensuring that you drive consistency and innovation and in turn deliver required service outcomes.
