Job Description

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, friendly and hardworking Chef Manager/Head Chef to join our team at our Aged Care site in Birkdale, Brisbane.

This role is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for running and managing the kitchen operations for our 180 residents, including producing quality, healthy food to staff, supervision of the catering staff, maintaining the kitchen area, and providing continuous improvement of the catering operations.

This is a Monday - Friday permanent role where you will be required to work 9.00 am - 5.00 pm preparing both Lunch and Dinner for the 7 days of the week.

Qualifications

Trade Chef Qualification (Certificate 111 in Commercial Cookery)

Experience working as a qualified chef with various cuisines

Have strong customer service skills, continuous improvement focus & ability to work as part of a team

Demonstrated food preparation/presentation skills with creativity

Dedication and practices correct Food Safety, WHS and HACCP

Good financial understanding of catering operations

Immediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
