We, the Sodexo team are seeking a suitably qualified Catering Manager. Reporting to the Village Manager in Far North Queensland your main responsibilities will be to continuously improve the efficiency and profitability of the operation whilst maintaining a high standard of services in line with our contract. Working a 20:8 Roster FIFO from Brisbane QLD

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining a quality relationship with our valued clientele on site, as well as practicing excellent teamwork and support for other members of the service
  • Maintaining a high standard of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness in accordance with Sodexo, Client and statutory requirements
  • Actively pursuing and achieving budget targets and assisting in budget compilation
  • Ensuring that preparation, presentation and service is carried out promptly and to Sodexo standards
  • Leading a team of hospitality staff including Qualified Chefs, Kitchen Hands, Dining Room Attendants and more

Education and Personal Attributes:

  • Have a Diploma in Business, Hospitality, Catering or related fields
  • Experience in managing and leading a team to achieve business objectives
  • Detailed financial and budgeting understanding
  • Demonstrated ability to control food and labour costs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in a high pressure, bulk catering environment, preferably in remote village operations
