Do you want to be a part of our team? Join Sodexo on our exciting journey providing Village and Facilities Management Services to the Amrun Project based in QLD. At the request of Traditional Owners, the project is known as Amrun—the Wik-Waya name for the area.

The suitable applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Reporting to the Village Manager your main responsibilities will be to produce food items that exceed our clients expectations and company standards. Working a 20:8 Roster your point of hire will be the Weipa and local surrounding areas or FIFO Cairns Queensland only.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Produce and present high-quality food items within the kitchen

Oversee the serving of food in the dining room

Perform the cooking process of menu items ensuring that all food is cooked to Food Platform specifications with fresh high-quality ingredients

Promptly and professionally address food complaints and/or customer concerns and take action to resolve these issues

Demonstrate a strong dedication towards safety and improving work is driven forward in the Kitchen and Dining Room

General kitchen duties as required

Education and Personal Attributes:

Certificate 111 in Commercial Cookery - mandatory

Solid knowledge of HACCP procedures and safe work practices

Experience in bulk and/or buffet style cooking

Proven competencies in all hands on services-Breakfast, Dinner, Functions & Crib Service

A minimum of 2-3 years post trade experience
