Job Description

We are looking for a bright, ambitious, and qualified individual, with at least 10 years of experience, who can:

  • Perform, direct, specify, and lead stress analyses to solve and report on complex issues related to design, life assessment, and root cause failure analyses.
  • Contribute to advanced testing including the assessment of the physical structure and behavior of metals\materials.
  • Perform heat transfer, fluid dynamics, fracture mechanics, and structural stress analyses of pressure vessels, piping systems, rotating equipment, bridges, and other structures using classical and finite element analyses methods (e.g., ANSYS, LS-DYNA, SAP, and others).
  • Work with industry codes and standards for the design and analyses of structures and systems.
  • Manage projects, organize new business opportunities, and communicating effectively with clients, engineering colleagues, and technical and administrative staff.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, metallurgical, or structural engineering; a master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience, minimum.
  • A Professional Engineer license is preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to pass background and drug screenings to obtain security clearances at a commercial nuclear plant.
  • Ability to travel to customer or project sites, which may include weekends.
