As an experienced Marketing Leader, you will have a mandate to build our communications and positioning strategy, experiment with and implement marketing tactics to grow demand, market awareness, thought leadership and trust in SocialTalent as the solution to transform hiring.  

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will be leading and growing a team of collaborative marketing professionals who deliver on a range of projects and outputs, from web leads, events, product releases and thought leadership. While external communications is vital, equally enabling every team member to communicate cohesive and compelling messages is key.

About the Role

Pillar 1: Develop and lead a brilliant team

As a People Leader, you will be the line manager to an existing team of 5, and will have budget and authority to hire additional team members who will deliver the strategy you set. You will be responsible for nurturing and developing the team through formal and informal coaching, priority-setting and ideation/creative design activities. 

Pillar 2: Create a winning communications and lead generation strategy

Your experience in B2B marketing and communications will be pivotal in creating a winning communications and lead generation strategy for SocialTalent. You will be responsible for getting stuck into design thinking and messaging development at a tactical level, split across a range of media and platforms: from developing user journeys through our website; creating compelling communications for social, email marketing and channel; and building a steady flow of qualified leads through to the sales organisation. 

Pillar 3: Execute the strategy

Your guidance through developing the strategy needs to shift then towards execution: supporting the team to put into play every element, experimenting with messaging to find what works, and optimising for growth. Together with the Leadership team across SocialTalent, you will be influencing the communication style of all SocialTalent team employees, from sales and customer success, product development through to operations - every touchpoint that SocialTalent has with users, customers and prospects will have your guidance.  

The impact of your work will be felt org-wide, but you know (as do we) that this isn’t one and done. With your support and leadership, and a mindset of continuous improvement, you will lead our marketing strategy for growth. You will be central to the success of SocialTalent as we embark on this next phase of our growth - we can’t do this without you!

Qualifications

Hiring Criteria: 

Core Skills & Knowledge 

(what you will need to walk into the role with, as opposed to what you will learn on the job)

  • Deep understanding of the creative process with the ability to lead ideation and shaping of exciting and relevant marketing campaigns

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Pardot (or other marketing automation software), website CMS and Google Analytics

  • Strong management and coaching skills with lots of initiative and drive

  • Skilled at planning, organising, prioritising and executing simultaneous projects and activities

  • International B2B marketing experience

  • Strategic mindset with proven strong commercial acumen 

Leadership Capabilities:

  • You have the ability to not only bring new ideas to fruition but bring your team on the journey with you

  • Ideally, you’ve built a team from the ground up - you know how to engage, motivate and get the best out of them through coaching and continuous feedback

  • You know how to bring your team through change and can communicate company strategy clearly so they understand their importance in the big picture
