What We Do at Social High Rise

We are the eyes, ears, and voice of restaurants, online, through social media. When we partner with a restaurant owner or manager, we take the social media piece off of their plate so they don’t have to worry about it. Here’s what we do:

  • develop authentic content and post to a variety of social media platforms each week.
  • reach out to customers on review sites by crafting and sending genuine responses to individuals who write positive and challenging reviews.
  • engage with customers by sharing the photos they took in-house and responding to customer questions and comments posting online.

Other Stuff

Our headquarters is located at the heart of downtown Chico, in beautiful Northern California. We're walking distance from the best farmers markets, shops, restaurants, Bidwell Park (one of the largest city parks in California), and California State University, Chico. We’re biking distance from just about anywhere in town and our office is literally in an old “grand ballroom” on the 3rd floor of a 100-year-old building. It features 20-foot gold ceilings, huge windows, and tons of natural light. The roof used to leak, but that's fixed now. Win. 

We gather for "team time" each week to review company milestones, recognize team accomplishments, and shamelessly share our blunders. Sometimes we even have cupcakes. 

Perks: free pizza from the best pizza joint in town, snacks, friendship, and wisdom. Plus, we have a punching bag, a beautifully customized corn hole set made by one of our dad's, and a central heating and A/C system that functions properly only sometimes. Also, we listen to music. 

Job Description

NOW HIRING 2020 SPRING INTERNS! We've had the pleasure of working with dozens of fantastic interns over the years, and we've worked hard to develop our internships so that individuals learn new skills and come away with valuable experience to add to their resumes. 

Our Inside Sales Interns provide support to our full-time sales team to acquire new clients for Social High Rise. Interns are trained to understand social media philosophy, as it relates to restaurants and small businesses. Interns also go through rigorous sales training to learn to qualify leads, overcome objections, close, and build and maintain a strong sales pipeline over the phone and through email.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Spending approximately 12-15 hours per week working with our sales team on a consistent, pre-determined schedule. Punctuality and dedication are extremely important.
    • Averaging 8+ dials per hour
    • Sending appointment reminder emails to qualified leads
    • Sending email campaigns to nurture and flush-out warm leads
    • Learn and practice how to quickly overcome objections, closing techniques, and persuasive sales psychology
    • Bringing an attitude of hustle every day
    • Rigorously tracking sales activity
    • Analyzing personal performance to find ways to improve
    • Shadowing the Social High Rise team to learn sales and business-related skills that can be applied to future career opportunities.
    • A bunch of other stuff that might come up, because after all, we're a startup, and things don't always follow a plan.

    DEFINITION OF SUCCESS:

    • Qualify 6 leads per month
    • Schedule solid appointments with qualified prospects to speak with a Sales Executive

    COMPENSATION:

    • $25 per qualified appointment set
    • $75 per deal closed as a result of a lead you qualify
    • Snacks
    • An accelerated rate of learning, since we're a start-up and we move quickly

    EXPECTED START DATE: Spring 2020
