Job Description
Lead US patient marketing for Sobi’s rare disease portfolio, focusing on uncontrolled gout. Drive disease awareness, launch excellence, and patient-centric campaigns. Collaborate cross-functionally, ensure compliance, and deliver measurable impact.
Role Overview
- Lead all US patient promotion for Sobi’s gout medicines
- Develop and execute pre-launch and launch strategies
- Build disease-state and branded patient marketing campaigns
- Leverage expertise in segmentation, patient insights, and consumer promotion
- Flexible location; preference for metro Boston
Key Responsibilities:
Disease-State Education
- Develop strategy to increase awareness and accelerate diagnosis
- Translate patient insights and market dynamics into impactful campaigns
- Identify barriers across the patient journey; activate target segments
- Partner with medical, legal, and regulatory for compliant initiatives
- Oversee omnichannel campaigns (digital, social, video, search, point-of-care)
- Collaborate with patient support and advocacy organizations
- Establish and track KPIs for awareness, engagement, and patient actions
- Monitor competitive activity and consumer trends
Branded Promotion
- Lead branded consumer marketing strategy and execution
- Create positioning, messaging, and creative aligned with product profile
- Ensure alignment across branded promotion, market access, and patient services
- Oversee launch readiness, agency management, media planning, and budget
- Optimize omnichannel strategies (TV, digital, CRM, point-of-care)
- Ensure regulatory and legal compliance for all materials
- Define and track launch metrics and forecasting
Additional Duties
- Manage up to 2 marketing colleagues and vendors
- Oversee consumer marketing budget
- Support key meetings (Launch, National Sales)
- Foster collaboration with sales, global commercial, regulatory, legal, analytics, market research, operations, patient advocacy, patient services, field reimbursement, medical affairs, and market access
Qualifications
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (business, marketing, sciences preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in pharma/biotech experience
- 5+ years of experience in patient/consumer marketing within pharma/biotech
- Proven US product launch success
- Cross-functional project leadership
- Specialty experience (rheumatology ideal)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to move between strategy and hands-on execution
- Prior experience managing teams and influencing others in a global matrixed environment
- Strong project, vendor, and agency management experience
Preferred
- MBA or advanced degree
- Experience in HCP, digital, market access, or insights roles
- Agency/field sales experience
- Small-to-mid biopharma experience

The base salary for a Director is $200,000 – $230,000, and the base salary for a Senior Director is $240,000 – $260,000 annually. Each individual offer will be determined based on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, and location. Additionally, this role is eligible for both short-term and long-term bonuses, as outlined in the plan details.
