Job Description
The Patient Access Manager, CEE – Business Development & Alliance Management is responsible for driving and coordinating market access strategies for partner products prior to, during or after contract execution where Sobi represents or acts as the Marketing Authorization Holder (MAH). The position is mainly representing the CEE markets, yet may require to coordinate and consolidate such strategies proactively across Sobi regions (possible extension to additional countries as defined by partner contracts).
The role sits at the intersection of Patient Access and Business Development & Alliance Management, ensuring that:
- Partner products have clear, feasible, and locally adapted access pathways,
- Sobi’s activities are aligned with contracted responsibilities, commitments and obligations,
- Strategies, activities and pathways are cross-functionally aligned with relevant internal stakeholders, including Sobi CEERJ Business Development and Alliance Management
- Execution across CEE, and where relevant additional territories as defined by partner contracts, is coordinated, compliant, and fully aligned with both partner and internal priorities.
Main responsibilities:
Market Access Strategy & Execution for Partner Products, in particular:
- Lead and coordinate the pricing & reimbursement strategy for partner products in CEE and assigned markets and ensure clear and realistic access pathways
- Coordinate local execution via country teams or partner companies, and coordinate and enable local adaptation of partner‑provided value and HEOR tools
Business Development Support, in particular
- Provide Patient Access input during BD evaluations and due diligence.
- Contribute to commercial and access feasibility assessments for new partnership opportunities.
- Support BD governance with structured, CEE-specific payer insights.
Alliance Management (Access & Value Workstream Lead), in particular
- Serve as the primary PA interface toward partner companies for CEE and assigned markets.
- Track risks, dependencies, and necessary corrective actions related to access deliverables.
- Represent Patient Access perspectives in alliance governance or joint working groups when required.
Cross‑functional Collaboration & Internal Alignment
- Ensure all internal stakeholders are informed about partner requirements, materials, timelines, and restrictions.
- Coordinate internal approvals (esp. pricing and access materials) in line with Sobi governance.
- Contribute to CEE cross‑functional projects involving partner products.
External Environment Insight
- Monitor policy, payer and HTA landscape developments across CEE relevant for partner products.
- Communicate changes to both internal stakeholders and partners to ensure alignment.
- Provide structured insights to support portfolio planning, BD and alliance decisions.
Qualifications
- University degree
- Experience in Market Access / P&R / HTA within pharma, understanding of CEE reimbursement systems
- Experience with partnered products or alliance structures preferred
- Strong understanding of pricing & reimbursement processes, payer environment and government affairs/policy/advocacy
- Multi-stakeholder project management and leadership experience, with demonstrated ability to deliver results on time and within budget
- Knowledge of health system and healthcare decision making, including regulatory, safety, legal and compliance environment.
- Excellent collaboration and influencing skills
- Ability to manage complex, matrixed interactions
- Ability to identify compelling ways to demonstrate and communicate product value to payers/stakeholders
- Availability to travel
