Job Description

The agile coach exists to help Snow build on and evolve our existing working practices and create real organizational understanding and competitive advantage from agile working practices and principles.

The role holder will analyze existing ways of working and implement improvements to help streamline processes and maximize our ability to deliver efficiently.

They will coach and mentor leadership, teams, and individuals on adopting these improvements, and guide our people to figure out the best solutions for their specific challenges.  They will play a key role in measuring delivery across the teams, contributing to a data-driven culture that will let us understand our velocity/throughput and monitor the impact the changes we make are having.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Lead the evolution of Snow’s agile software delivery practices throughout the entire SDLC
  • Effectively communicate agile principles and overall operating model across the organization.
  • Facilitate learning, development and continuous improvement through individual and team coaching.
  • Coach senior leadership in agile practices to ensure the adoption of best practices and data driven decision making from the top down.
  • Identify and mitigate issues as the organization’s agile process evolves.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience building and implementing agile methodologies within a global organization.
  • Experience leading organizational change.
  • Communicating and influencing behaviours across multiple levels and functions.
  • Evangelizing agile methodologies to the team.
  • Using data to measure the impact of changes and facilitate roadmap estimation.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Scrum, Kanban, etc. frameworks for scaling agile.
  • Pragmatic view on agile process – adopts process to suit an organization’s needs rather than dogmatically applying a methodology.
  • A passion for delivering customer value in a timely fashion without compromising delivered quality within a commercial organization.
