Cloud Security Engineer

Job Description

We want to operate our services to a level that exceeds customer expectations and speaks to the trust our customers and partners have placed in us. The purpose of this role is to operate as an Infrastructure Security Specialist to ensure Snow’s runtime (i.e., production) SaaS platforms are proactively monitored and managed to avoid data loss and other security-related issues that could arise.

The role holder will work on a variety of projects, and work as part of the Security Engineering Team responsible for keeping our Product pipelines and customer platforms safe from malicious threats developing on the horizon and championing security best practices and techniques that help mature Snow’s overall security posture.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure stacks
  • Experience in working with Kubernetes and containers
  • Participate in IRP
  • IAM and RBAC
  • Strong knowledge of DevSecOps principles
  • Secure platform design

Qualifications

Core competencies, knowledge, and qualifications:

  • Acting as a subject matter expert for Infrastructure security
  • Knowledge of attack techniques, threat landscape, and threat actors
  • Create and contribute to security playbooks
  • Hardening infrastructure stacks
  • Degree in a Computer Science Related discipline   

Desirable competencies and qualifications:

  • Experience from working with security standards (ISO27001, SoC2, CSA CCM)
  • Microsoft Azure Security Engineer (AZ500)
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
